HF test?
Hi Rick
I'm encouraged by our VHF test - that was really neat for me to get that validation !
If you have a few moments in the next few weeks I'd love to try a prearranged HF test!
My website W7BRO.com has a panel that indicates good and poor bands In real time http://www.w7bro.com/
Can I suggest you pick a frequency, mode (USB or LSB) and a date/time?
I'm currently in Suffolk VA camping now and will be back in Tappers Friday. It really does not matter when... anything that suits you!
I've not had a successful HF comms yet so I'm not holding my breath. It may be a no go! But it's worth a try!
Thanks... David

Hosni points to Mecca
Our faithful guide Hosni shows us the right way to perform one of the five daily prayers in the Mosque of Mohammad Ali in the Cairo Citadel.... now on to the last night of the trip dinner cruise featuring belly dancers and other surprises for the Ramses!
Visiting Mohammed Ali's mosque in Sahaladin's castle in Cairo
Today we had a great time touring Cairo. We visited several historic churches in Coptic Cairo
Followed by Sahaladin's castle and the mosque of Mohammed Ali. The ladies all wore their scarves to cover their hair in the mosque. Hosni, our guide, explained the Muslim worship service to us. The mosque was enormous and quite beautiful. I will have more pictures for you when we return. We begin our flight home early tomorrow morning. See you all soon.

Lanterns at Kom Ombo Temple
Today we went to Edfu and Kom Omba temple . The sight were amazing. Suprisingly, the temples were in good condition and help us imagine what egypt was like in the past. Right now we are enjoying a lovely tea on the deck of the boat while cruising down the Nile. It is unbelievable!-Rebecca Parker

Lunch
Egypt has been wonderful so far! Yesterday we saw the valley of the kings, the valley of the gueens and Hatshetsut temple. A sand storm came up and I think everyone was relieved when we checked in to the boat and took showers! We learned how to say no thank you in arabic which came handy! The food is wonderful and I'm about to go enjoy some now! Until next time...

Traffic in Cairo
The guide says Cairo is the third most crowded city in the world. Judging from the traffic tonight I would agree.

Today we leave for Egypt! Hearts in our stomachs, sun block lathered, and cameras at the ready! What perilous adventures we are about to undertake are unknown to man! I could be exaggerating but you never know! With our mentors as guides and the sand dunes as our maps we are ready to embark where no man has gone before....ok well at least we've never been there before. Till next time my faithful readers! Remember me as I was!
